Owner Mike Boone takes pride in the fact that he is a second generation floor covering expert learning from his father, Morrison, of Modern Linoleum and Tile, and Carpet Hall of Fame member Marvin Berlin of New York Carpet World. Our vast experience helps us lend an ear to the wants and needs of our clients and lets us make knowledgeable suggestions so that you, our customer, get the most from your flooring dollar. Mike grew up in Burlington, NC and has an excellent reputation in the community as a quality flooring retailer. He is listed on Angie's list as a trusted flooring store. He is a member of the Alamance County Chamber of Commerce and the Alamance-Caswell Homebuilders Association.

Mike has been in the flooring industry for more than 40 years. As a teenager his dad started him in the business as an installer's helper, quickly his eye for detail and skill had him installing and then co-managing the family store. He truly knows flooring "from the ground up". He has won awards for product knowledge from some of the largest manufactures in the world. Mike managed several major carpet stores in Greensboro and Winston Salem but always felt he could offer better quality and service than a large chain or franchise store would allow. Mike's wife Debbie is a talented artist and designer. She and Mike work as a team to create the magnificent custom area rugs for which their store is known.

They both believe that customer service, unique selection and product knowledge are what makes Custom Home Accents stand above the rest. Mike personally measures every wall to wall installation. His installation knowledge gives him the edge in seeing potential problems with a job and informing our customers up front – we don't want you to have any surprises. In the store he and his well trained team offer advice as to the best type of floor for your needs. At the completion of each job Mike personally confirms that each customer is fully satisfied. Our goal is to make customers not for a day or one job but to have our customers return again and again for all their flooring needs...and we are pleased to say - they DO!!!
